Fundamentals : Circular motion

Circular motion requires a free body diagram. In a banked road, banking of aeroplance slanting to an angle when turning and conical pendulum are all instances when you need to use tan (angle) = v2/rg . Draw the diagram to check where the angle is. Two components , one is equal to weight , the other is the resultant force = mv2/r. Dividing the two equations give the relationship tan (angle)= v2/rg
