Fundamentals: SHM due to g

A particle of sand on the plate will remain in contact if the plate does not vibrate with a acceleration greater than g . Drawing the free body diagram of the sand at the top of the motion , reaction force is zero and g is the maximum acceleration of SHM.Acceleration is equal to square of 2pi frequency mulitply by amplitude. Hence at a particular amplitude , the frequency is limited.
