Today's lesson-11august


The angular velocity is the same at every point on a rotating disc but the speed is dependant on radius from the centre. At the outer edge the speed is faster, explaining why one always stand on the outer edge in a merry go round.
The key to success is to always account for the forces and identify the component to the centre of the circle which will be equated to mv2/r.
