Graphs in oscillation
The standard graphs for displacement , velocity and acceleration are sine, cosine and negative sine respectivley. However these graphs changes if displacement graph is cosine , velocity and acceleration will be negative sine and negative cosine respectively. Hence be wary of displacement graphs to start with.
The energy time graphs are dependent on the velocity time graphs. Locate the max Ke points to draw the KE graphs and then draw the PE and total energy graphs. This order will ensure the graphs correspond with each other.
The graphs drawn wrt displacement does not change in its shape and hence easy to remember. Ensure graphs do not not go beyond the amplitude values.
