Bremstrahlung vs characteristic lines.

The characteristic lines shows higher intensity as many metal atoms got their electrons knock out by the high speed electrons. The intensity of bremstrahlung is lower as that occured only if the electrons are slowed down by the electrons in the outer shell of metal atoms.
