Fundamentals: Why neutrons are not taken into account?

A = B + neutrons. The energy released is BE of B - BE of A , neutrons have no binding energy as they are singles particles.
The energy released is mass of (B+neutrons) - mass or A multiply by square of c .
You can now decide whether you want to include neutrons or not. If you use BE method of find energy released , there is no binding energy of neutrons. However if you use mass difference x c2 you must include mass of neutrons.
