Thermal 1 and 2 worksheet

Comments
1. Convergence due to real gases approaching ideal behaviour. At this point the temperature has only one value which is independant of the type of gas.
2. Triple point is reproducible (can be attained when all the conditions are achieved) and invariant( unchanging) .
3. Absolute scale is based on the theoretical relation between p and V of an ideal gas . (known as ideal gas scale) and independant of thermometric property.
4. Sweeping produces heat energy that melts the ice producing water which reduces frictional forces considerably.
5. No increase in ke , hence temperature the same . Heat is absorbed to used to break down intermolecular forces.
